The fat dissolving treatment areas

In many cases, diet and exercise may not always help reduce double chin. Both aging, genetics, and weight fluctuation affect satiety. Our non-surgical double chin treatment is the only injectable treatment that uses prescription medications to reduce fat under the chin and improve moderate to severe “double chin”.

The fat dissolving treatment: How do they work?

By injecting sodium deoxycholate into localised fat deposits, intralipotherapy results in fat dissolving. Fat cells are destroyed by the solution, which is subsequently broken down by the lymphatic system and eliminated. The effect of sodium deoxycholate is gradual, the tissue is removed slowly, and the final result does not appear for several weeks.

Likewise, while using ultrasound cavitation, the results are enhanced. By producing high levels of pressure, the low-frequency ultrasound causes the fat cell membranes to disintegrate, and the body then eliminates the contents of the fat cells. When combining lymphatic drainage with cavitation, more fat can be removed, while massages help physically push fat into the lymphatic system, where it gets removed safely.

When is the complete result of fat-dissolving visible?

As the fat cells are destroyed – and your body excretes the released lipids from the destroyed fat cells – the process takes some time as your body slowly metabolises and expels the released lipids. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, but you can expect to see results after 3-4 weeks, with the final effect approximately eight weeks after your treatment.

Can side effects be expected from the fat dissolving treatment?

The possible complications after fat dissolving treatment include:

Pain that persists for several days or weeks.
It is rare (less than 2 in 100,000) that an allergic reaction will require immediate medical attention.
A nodule (which can occur in 5-10% of cases) resolves when the excess fatty tissue is removed after a few weeks.
Possible discolouration (less than 2 in 1,000 cases) is usually temporary and minimised by avoiding prolonged exposure to UV light.
A small percentage of patients may experience necrosis of the skin (less than 1 in 10,000) caused by contact with a solution. It is characterised by the death of cells, blistering of the skin, peeling off it, infections, and scarring.
Unsatisfactory results, such as stubborn fat, asymmetry, irregularities or excessive skin.

Are the fat dissolving treatment results permanent?

The fat cells that are targeted are permanently destroyed. You will retain your results as long as you maintain – without gaining weight – between treatment sessions and after the fat dissolving treatment.

The price of fat-dissolving varies from moderate to severe double chin. So, our consultant will help you figure out the right one under your budget.

How painful is the fat dissolving treatment?

In general, the procedure itself is painless. There may be itching, redness and mild swelling in the treated area(s) for the next 15 minutes. That is because the product is starting to disturb fat cells, releasing their contents which cause cell necrosis and encourages adipocyte (fat cell) reduction. It is therefore typical and even expected that there will be initial swelling and redness. Usually, redness and discomfort will disappear within a couple of hours.

Is fat- dissolving treatment suitable for all?

Fat-dissolving may be the right option for someone who maintains a healthy lifestyle and is close to their ideal body weight but contains stubborn areas of fat.
